The WWF's Top Ten Critically Endangered Species:
Endangered animals are those species that are in danger of going extinct and need protection in order to survive. In the world today there 19,000 species of plants and 5,000 species of animals are in of extinction. In our country, our National animal TIGER is one such animal. Various measures are being undertaken worldwide to help survival of the endangered species. Protected areas are created as one of the measures. These include parks, wildlife sanctuaries and other reserves.
